PROJECT MODERNIZATION OF THE NATION

Traditionally, in many various organizations/institutes such as Malabag National Highschool, there is a compulsion of taking a gate pass to enter the premises as well as while leaving the premises before time. The gate pass is generally either a written chit of paper or a receipt sheet. This manual record management requires vast amounts of documents to be stored only to necessitate retrieval when needed and has resulted in the unnecessary expense of both time and money (Sunico, 2020). Furthermore, this creates a problem when the number of visitors visiting the department increases and are unable to manage the records. Ultimately, the main issue with the manual gate pass system is security and the inconsistency of the records. With all these matters being stated, the students from Rogationist College have come up with "Project Modernization of the Nation" to propose the automating of this manual process by installing and utilizing an automated gate pass system to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of track recording in the institution as the manual process they utilize is known to suffer from security, inefficiency, and resource management issues. Improving security at the gate level and consistency of records are important in any school and as concerned students from Rogationist College, the team would like to encourage a safe and organized community for the members of the institution. For this purpose, the automated gate pass is a crucial document. Implementing this system to replace the human process would be fantastic because the system contributes to securing and monitoring the students, employees, and visitors; thereby generating due and timely feedback to the administration, adding to this, an enhanced gate pass system can solve the tedious and incorrect record keeping, as well as uneven security concerning movement which the manual approach brings which results in a great deal of inefficiency and unaccountability.
